How To Roast Garlic

Servings: 1 head of garlic

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 20-30 minutes


INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 head of garlic

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

  • Himalayan salt


DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 400.

  2. Cut the very top tips off of your garlic, keeping it together at the root. You are removing just enough so that your olive oil can penetrate.

  3. Set the garlic on a 6x6 piece of aluminum foil and drizzle oil over it, make sure to cover the area you cut off. Sprinkle with salt.

  4. Wrap the garlic in the foil and bake in the oven for 20-30 minutes. The longer you cook it, the softer it will be. Be careful not to overcook it because the garlic will dry out.

  5. Remove from the oven and ENJOY on garlic bread, Vegan Mushroom Pizza, Edamame Hummus or preserve it in the fridge for up to a week to have on hand!
